STRENGTH WORK:

Deadlift, 7x1

Followed by:

AMRAP – 5 MINUTES

Pushups

"Constant excitement, constant buzz can lead to false expectations. In real training there are long periods where nothing much seems to be happening and you have to keep faith with yourself. Sometimes you might feel that you are going backwards.

But you need to keep in mind the big picture. Have a goal, do sensible things to try to meet it and be consistent. Try not to dabble in a plethora of new experiences in search of a new workout ‘high’. Work hard, eat right and then as Dan John often says good things are going to happen."

I hate push ups. They hate me.

Ah, an invited gripe session. My gripe for today is that I got a new bank card in the mail, but the PIN has been changed from the old one. Which means I only got to do laundry with the quarters I could find around my house, which was equivalent to a medium suitcase full. I'm going on travel on Thursday, and need to get cash, so the bank will be very accomadating and MAIL ME the PIN. Pinheads.

OK, my second gripe for the day: Poor grammar and spelling on teh intarwebz. See previous for prime example. "got" = "was able", and it was a medium suitcase full of laundry, not of quarters. Though I know I could deadlift 305 lb worth of quarters.

I am confused Ian..

If "got" = "was able," then "My gripe for today is that I [was able] a new bank card in the mail."

That don't make no sense.

I wish I had a suitcase full of quarters.

It was to replace the 'got' in "...means I only got to do laundry...", implying that laundry is a pleasurable experience, which it most certainly is not.

I also forgot to take a book with me, so I was practicing handstands outside the laundromat, with plenty of weird looks & a bumped head on brick.
