Pretty much this: http://www.ted.com/talks/lang/eng/john_wooden_on_the_difference_between_winning_and_success.html

John Wooden, UCLA Coach from forever ago.

"Peace of mind, attained only in self-satisfaction in knowing you made the effort to do the best of which you're capable."

Basically - do what you can. Always do what you can with what you've got. Don't complain about not having more. Understand that certain things are unchangeable and some things are - know the difference... and do what you can.

also... that deadlift is downright disgusting...

To me, success is the completion of an effort that required a given level of work input, and the satisfaction of knowing I've completed something I have decided to do.

Even Baylor has better form than the boy in that video!

Erin-
Awesome post! Funny enough I'm in the middle of reading a book by John Wooden. A great example of a man who relentlessly pursued excellence on and off the court.

To me success means achieving personal happiness and maintaining a healthy balance in life, family and career.
