"Grab a chunk of iron, do something intense with it, sweat a lot, become strong, empower yourself, and evolve. It really is that simple. That’s what people are forgetting. It’s simple. Not easy. But simple." - the guy from Bodytribe Fitness at www.physicalsubculture.com
Optimal? Probably not. Would this guy help you out if you needed it? Probably so.
What do you think of the above clip? Too much? Too crazy? Or admirable?

Admirable!
I admire his effort to keep going & bang out two more reps, but I do not like the fact that he is not in control of the weight at all times (throws/drops it at the end of the reps).
(and let the XF flaming begin...)
Yes.
I wouldn't encourage people to press on when cramping horribly in the gym, but on competition day, anything goes. The people who give it everything they have will beat those who don't.
Ian, if you were in the pain he was, you'd have dropped the bar as well. Heck, if I were in that much pain, I doubt I'd be tough enough to pick up the bar again.
Crazy, not in a good way
I like it....
Can anyone recommend something that helps the recovery/soreness?
I am very tight and achy from even the slighest amount of work. Much appreciated.
B&A - Rest, water, meat, and rest generally work, though it depends on the level of soreness.
